Ground Beef Stroganoff Recipe

This ground beef stroganoff recipe is a perfect weeknight meal. It comes together in around 30 minutes, is packed with protein and vitamins and, best of all, tastes delicious!

Ingredients
  

  • 500 g ground minced beef
  • 1 onion sliced
  • 125 g chestnut mushrooms
  • 150 g spinach optional
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • 200 ml stock/bouillon
  • 1 tsp salt & pepper to taste
  • 200 g crème fraîche/double cream
  • Rice or pasta to serve

Instructions
 

  • Fry the onions gently for 3 mins until softened.
  • Add the ground beef and fry until cooked (5 mins)
  • Add the mushrooms and garlic and continue frying on a medium heat for 5 mins.
  • Add stock/bouillon, bring to the boil and simmer until the meat is cooked through (10 mins - 20 mins). You can leave it to simmer for even longer, just make sure you check that there is enough liquid in the pan.
  • Add the spinach 5 minutes before serving.
  • Add cream and heat through.
  • Serve with rice or pasta for a filling, delicious evening meal.
